It’s your last chance to apply to win one of ten £1000 Brighter Future Grants courtesy of Santander. Applications close on 29 March.

Ten successful students will be selected at random, and the winners will be contacted via email on 17 April 2024.

To be eligible, you must: 

1.         Be enrolled as a current student (part-time or full-time) in any year of your degree at the University of Lincoln.

2. Know your student ID number and provide it via the application form.

Peak Stuff Clothes Swap

Have you reached Peak Stuff? 

Lincoln Arts Centre is hosting a two-month long clothes swap in their Café Bar, where you can donate your unwanted clothes and pick up a fresh, preloved, fit. If you have clothes bursting out your wardrobe, bring them to Lincoln Arts Centre and donate. All clothes left at the end of the clothes swap will be donated to charity.  

The swap is in promotion of the upcoming show Peak Stuff from March 14-15 at Lincoln Arts Centre. Using live drumming and spectacular video design, this is a timely show for anyone who has ever made an ill-fated impulsive purchase!

International Careers & Employability Week

Are you an international student looking for support with your career? You’re invited to our International Careers & Employability Week! A week of workshops exclusively for international students to support you with your career planning! These workshops will cover how to get part-time jobs whilst studying, working in the UK after finishing your studies, CV writing and job interview skills!

 

Work and Volunteer whilst studying (Monday 27th, 3- 4pm)-

This workshop is aimed at international students who wish to look for part-time work, voluntary roles and internships whilst studying. Students will be informed as to what work and how many hours they are able to do, where to find opportunities and how to apply for them. Book here!

 

Student Circus (Tuesday 28th , 3- 4pm)-

In this workshop, Student Circus will demonstrate how you can use their website to find opportunities that are available for international students who want to work in the UK. This workshop is essential if you would like to prepare for the recruitment process in the UK and understand the cultural differences in the employment sector. Book here!

 

CV Writing with the International College (Wednesday 1st, 12- 1pm)-

During this workshop, you’ll be informed as to how to construct a UK styled CV and have the opportunity to discuss content and language to use on them. Book here!
