Self Consciousness in Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit
The forum will continue with Hegel for at least one more week, this time escaping the clutches of the preface and reaching out into the text itself. I thought we could look at some of the famous section on self consciousness p140-155 with a supplementary paper from the Critical guide Chapter 5 ‘From Desire to Recognition: Hegel’s Account of human Sociality. The meeting is in the regular alternative space of Group Room 3 at 14:15-15:45 and the reading is available from gfreestone@lincoln.ac.uk (Graham)
