Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit
This session the forum will continue to attempt to understand Hegel’s phenomenology. To this end I am suggesting continuing to read the preface and/or two other supplementary writings which may be easier to deal with. The first of these is the Introduction to the ‘Cambridge Companion to Hegel’ -which deals with some historical backdrop and his metaphysics. The second is the essay ‘Substance, Subject, System: Justification of Science in Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit’ which is chapter one in Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit: A Critical Guide’.
The meeting is in Ul102 14:15-15:45 and the reading is available upon request from gfreestone@lincoln.ac.uk (Graham)
