Save the Date: Public Engagement with Research Conference | 21st Mar

pearl2PEARL (Public Engagement for All with Research at Lincoln) is hosting the first annual University of Lincoln Public Engagement with Research Conference to celebrate the work staff and students do in getting people beyond the University involved with research.

This will take place on Wednesday 21st March 2018 from 2pm in the Cargill Lecture Theatre, finishing with a wine reception in the Minerva Building. All staff and students invited.

Please mark the date in your diary – formal invites and an online booking system will follow next month.

PEARL is a new RCUK-funded project supporting public involvement with research. Involvement of the public gives people opportunities to learn new skills and gain knowledge whilst generating new partnerships for the university, increasing research quality and boosting public support for research.

The conference will celebrate and showcase the outstanding engagement activities that are carried out at Lincoln. There will be a series of short talks by staff and students about their work, announcement of recipients for the new PEARL Grants (applications open here), and presentation of the Vice Chancellor’s Public Engagement with Research Awards (nominations open here), followed by a wine reception.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email the PEARL team pearl@lincoln.ac.uk, you can also access the PEARL website for more information.
