Events & Conferences- Jason Bradbury – Inaugural University of Lincoln Public Lecture – University of Lincoln
Jason Bradbury is a television presenter and children’s author, best known for his expertise in new technology and for presenting The Gadget Show. He is holder of four Guinness World Records including achieving the fastest speed in a water jet powered car.
He is known for his exotic DIY gadget builds, which have included a DIY hoverboard, the world’s first ‘phone glove’, and a ‘mind-reading’ device made from a modified mouse that (crudely) controlled a computer. From 2015 Jason will be lecturing on the Product Design and Computer Science degrees at the University of Lincoln and this is his inaugural public lecture.
Taking as its starting point Moore’s Law – that improvement in technology is exponential – his talk will explore the new frontiers of consumer tech: from wearables to Oculus Rift. With his trademark enthusiasm and knowledge of great gadgetry, Jason will introduce some of the amazing new advances which most inspire him in an interactive lecture which could take the term ‘audience participation’ to new highs.
Takes place on 9 March 2015 in the Engine Shed: 4.30pm Registration; 5.00pm Lecture
