Are you an actor or actress, or maybe have a technical interest in film making?
Local production outfit Shortorme Productions are looking for people to get involved in their forthcoming films for 2015. We’re looking for actors and actresses, VFX technicians, lighting engineers, model makers – anyone who feels they have something they can offer, even if they’ve never considered applying it to film before!
Our productions are no-to-low (very low!) budget but we promote a collaborative approach where everyone working on the film has a major part to play in realising the final piece. We’ve worked in genres from drama to comedy, science fiction to horror, have been screened at a number of festivals both locally and around the country and our first short, Refuse and Recycling won a “best in comedy” award in 2014.
Check out our archives and trailers for our forthcoming short feature, All Good Things at http://youtube.com/shortormeproductions and, if you want to chat about how you can get involved, please get in touch with us at shortormeproductions@gmail.com, or via twitter @shortorme – don’t forget to follow us too (website and Facebook page coming soon)!
CURRENTLY CASTING: We’re particularly looking for a female for a short horror film we’re making next January. We hope to be auditioning in December so please get in touch. Head shots and show reels are not essential but will help us in the casting process. The role will involve several workshopped scenes with the main actor and improvisation will be encouraged.
VFX ARTISTS WANTED: Do you know your way around Adobe After effects? Can you work with CG elements to enhance shots? Get in touch! We’re hoping to introduce more digital elements into our films, including working with CG and green screen effects. Even if you’ve never applied your skills to film before but are a dab hand at creating digital art or 3D rendered images, we’d love to talk to you!
