Alumni from the School of Film & Media will return to the University to deliver a series of talks for staff and students.
The University of Lincoln’s School of Film & Media welcome alumni on-campus all year to share their experiences with students. A new series of talks with graduates currently working across the film and media industries have been organised by Senior Lecturer Dave McCaig, and they will take place in the EMMTEC Lecture Theatre on 10th, 17th, 24th November and 1st December.
Dave said: “These alumni demonstrate the strength of the multi-disciplinary degrees at LSFM. With a strong background in media practices during their degrees and a combination of hard work and ambition, these guest speakers have shown that the School’s highly valued in the media industries. We are very pleased that our graduates have returned to pass on their knowledge.”
Monday 10th November, 5-6pm:
Sean Strange, Class of 2013 – As well as doing his own freelance work Sean is currently a staff photographer at F/stop Event Photography. His previous experience includes, events photographer for The Imperial War Museum and press photographer for RAF Waddington.
Monday 17th November:
Aleysha Minns, Class of 2013 – AV freelancer with experience at Revolver Films, C4 and C5 amongst others. Also one of LSFM industry mentors.
Monday 24th November:
Joel Murray, Class of 2011 – Digital marketing co-ordinator at Lincoln BIG and Visit Lincoln.
Monday 1st December:
Darren Scales, Class of 2008 – Indie Filmmaker at Backyard Productions. There will be a free screening of Darren’s Drift film on 6th December at the University of Lincoln.
All are welcome at the talks on analysing and working in the media industries.
