When: Tuesday 8 April, from 6pm
Where: The Platform (upstairs in the Engine Shed)
Who: Everyone welcome — no previous knowledge or sewing skills needed!
We’ll be exploring ‘who makes our clothes’, the global supply chain of the fashion industry, shedding light on the human and environmental impact of fast fashion, and discussing how we, as consumers and creators, can engage more ethically with what we wear.
After the talk, we’ll be hosting a relaxed crochet workshop with our very own Lolly Price (@crochetgurl). You’ll learn the basics of crochet, try out some simple stitches, and maybe even start a granny square of your own.
No experience needed – just come as you are!
We’ll also have our sewing station and zine-making table set up again: Practice your hand-sewing – try stitching, hemming, or mending, collage, draw, or write at the zine table – keep building your own DIY fashion zine
We’d love to see you there!
