The Lincoln International Business School offer Languages Short Courses in French, Spanish, Italian, German, Mandarin and English at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, beginner classes only running in October.
The Beginners courses are designed to introduce students to a range of practical language skills, both active and passive, which will enable them to operate at a basic level in general language situations and to enable students to continue to develop the ability to communicate more effectively in the language.
The aim of Intermediate courses is to introduce students to a range of practical language skills, both active and passive, which will enable them to operate at a sophisticated level in general language situations.
Advanced courses are designed to consolidate a wider range of source materials in the foreign language, thereby extending and deepening the students’ knowledge of its lexical and grammatical features. Activities in the foreign language will require a greater degree of analytical and critical evaluation.
Courses run for three hours per week over 12 weeks, starting w/c 3rd October 2022, and w/c 30th January 2023. The two-hour seminar will be face-to-face, with the mentor drop-in session being on-line. The classes are normally timetabled between 9am and 6pm and take place at the Brayford Pool Campus. They are open to our current students, staff, and members of the public.
