University of Lincoln Top 20 for Careers Support

The University of Lincoln has ranked 16th in the UK for career support by Student Hub.

Student Hub, described by the BBC as the ‘TripAdvisor for unis’, compiled the rankings of the career support in 159 Higher Education Institutions as voted for by thousands of students across the UK.

The Lincoln Award was praised as a ‘stand-out service’ offer by the Careers & Employability Team. Designed to nurture employability skills through extra-curricular activity, the award is tailored to each subject and students receive support from the team to guide them from start to finish. The award has attracted support from graduate employers such as PwC, Next and Lincolnshire Police among others.

Head of Careers and Employability, at the University, Mark Stow said: “It is a great pleasure for the Careers & Employability Team to be ranked so highly in the Student Hub rankings. This is recognition made all the more important by the fact that it has been founded on feedback from our students, who are front and centre of all that we do.

“Our innovative approach to careers education and offering services which are bespoke and distinct to meet the individual needs of our students, has significantly supported them to successfully manage their transition into employment, with 96% in employment or further study six months after completing their studies. Our success also ensures that our students are increasingly in high demand, within an ever competitive graduate labour market”

“It is a privilege to help students to manage this transition, and to receive such recognition from our students, in the Student Hub Rankings, only strengthens the reputation that the team are increasingly developing. I am incredibly proud of this achievement, and the hard work that our team at Lincoln have invested, in the future of our students and graduates – this would not be possible without their ongoing dedication, commitment and inspiration”
