On Wednesday 28th November, the University of Lincoln will welcome Diane Lees CBE, the first female Director-General of the Imperial War Museum and Pro Chancellor of the University to share insights into her career at a free event for those considering Master’s level study.
Diane’s talk will focus on her fascinating career path which has seen her progress from being a historic buildings researcher to one of the most important figures in the UK museum sector. Diane has worked on some of the UK’s most significant projects including the recovery and display of Henry VII’s warship the Mary Rose in Portsmouth Harbour, the creation of Nottingham’s multi-award winning Galleries of Justice, the country’s only museum dedicated to law and the ongoing redevelopment of the Imperial War Museum’s Second World War and Holocaust Galleries.
In addition to the talk, the University Careers Team will be on hand to offer advice and guidance for those at all stages of their career while the Alumni team will be available for University of Lincoln graduates offering tips on CV writing, interview techniques, job searches and the range of benefits available for Lincoln alumni. There will also be networking opportunities.
The event will take place in the Minerva Building from 6pm.
