It was with great sadness we learnt of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Her devotion and duty to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has been an inspiration to many generations.
The University will for ever be grateful to the Queen for opening our university campus in Lincoln in October 1996. Her presence and kind words of encouragement successfully launched the University on its mission to improve the lives of those who attend the University and those amongst whom we live.
On behalf of the University community, the Vice Chancellor will send a letter of condolence to convey to the King and all members of the Royal Family our deepest sympathy.
Flags will be flown at half mast on campus and the University will open a book of condolence for students, staff and visitors to share their respects should they wish.
