Frequency Festival, Lincoln’s biennial festival of digital creativity, is returning this week and celebrating its 10th anniversary.
In the five years that Frequency Festival has been stunning audiences across the city, it has welcomed over 75,000 visitors, hosted over 500 local, national and international artists and brought over £1m to the local economy since 2013.
The theme for this year’s event is Connection, to place, people and the environment. This allows for people to reconnect with one another and the city in a safe manner, after a year of disconnect.
The events, which are free and open to all, will be taking place across Lincoln city centre, including a 9-meter inflatable robot snail, AR technology which shows pollution in real-time and an audio experience which allows you to hear sounds from streets all around the world.
The artworks will be on display in public spaces throughout the city of Lincoln, including the Cornhill Quarter, St Mary le Wigford Church and St Marks Garden, from 12pm until 8pm on Thursday 28 October to Sunday 31 October.
