The Careers and Employability Service will host a free session on 22nd February, in partnership with Lincolnshire Speakers, offering staff and students the opportunity to improve their public speaking skills.
Lincolnshire Speakers is a local club affiliated to Toastmasters International, a nonprofit educational organization which provides regular opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Attendees will be able to practice presentation skills in a non-threatening environment and get feedback from experienced speakers. The session will also offer the opportunity to learn hands-on how to handle realistic business situations such as chairing a meeting, pitching ideas, timekeeping and conference etiquette. The event will also teach attendees how to express themselves clearly and confidently as well as improvingĀ grammar, diction and use of the English language.
The session will take place from 7-9PM in Meeting Room 1 in the Enterprise Building.
