Create your future with TEDxYouth@BrayfordPool

This November, the first publicly accessible TEDx event in Lincoln specifically delivered by young people for young people will take place at the University of Lincoln.

Aimed at young people aged 16 to 26 years old, TEDxYouth@BrayfordPool will feature 12 young speakers and performers, plus TED talk screenings, and discussion groups and workshops.

The event will take place in the Stephen Langton Building, on the University’s Brayford Pool campus, from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 4th November.

As the city celebrates the 800th anniversary of the Charter of the Forest, the companion document to Magna Carta, TEDxYouth@BrayfordPool focuses on looking forward with the theme of ‘Creating our Future’.

The event aims to push boundaries, stimulate discussion and catalyse change, and offers a platform for pioneers, free-thinkers and doers to share their ideas and knowledge with a global audience.

Speakers will include the 2017 National Poetry Day Ambassador, a Winston Churchill Fellow and the first ever recipient of the Diana Legacy Award, as well as local young pioneers.

Tickets cost just £3 and include full day access to the event and a lunch. They can be purchased from Lincoln Performing Arts Centre in person or over the phone on 01522 837600, or online at https://lpac.co.uk/event/tedxyouth-brayford-pool/.
