A spotlight has been shone on the University and its innovative approach to teaching and learning with the publication of a Higher Education Academy news piece, ‘Creating the 21st Century arts crit room.’
Based on a blog post by Gyles Lingwood, Director of Education for the College of Arts, the piece provides an overview of the development and success of the College’s Digital Crit Room, which launched in October last year.
Developed to enhance the student experience, the room has transformed the way that students and tutors use technology to display and critique work, also reducing the associated printing costs. More than 400 teaching sessions have already taken place in the room and feedback has been incredibly positive – the project was even awarded the ‘Best Impact on the Student Experience Award 2016’ by the University’s Students’ Union.
