Commuter Jazz returns

Commuter Jazz is back! The University’s Zing Cafe at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre will continue to offer free music from 5pm every Friday.

Gigs include:

  • 15 April – Will Howard with The Stevie Smith Trio –  Will Howard (tenor sax), Thom Whitworth (guitar), Tom Riviere (double bass) and Stevie Smith (drums)
  • 22 April – Djanco – Thom Whitworth (electric guitar), Jamie Pool (acoustic guitar) and Rich Whitworth (double bass)
  • 29 April – Me and Mr Jones – Rachel Foster (vocals), Paul Deats (piano), Dave Shields (double bass) and Stevie Smith (drums)
  • 6 May – Snake Davis with the LPAC House Band – Snake Davis (sax and flute), Alan Wormwald (guitar), Paul Deats (piano), Dave Shields (electric bass) and Stevie Smith (drums)
  • 13 May – JHQ with special guest – Thom Whitworth (trumpet), Riley Stone-Lonergan (tenor sax), Jon Trier (piano), Jeremy Ashby (double bass), Stevie Smith (drums) and Brian Archer (trombone)
