Lincolnshire Speakers open night

Local public speaking club, Lincolnshire Speakers, will host an open night at the University of Lincoln on Thursday 22nd February to give attendees a flavour of Toastmasters – the world’s oldest public speaking and leadership organisation.

The event will take place from 7pm until 9pm in the Enterprise Building on the University’s Brayford Pool Campus.

The volunteer club, which is devoted to helping people become better speakers and leaders, meets twice a month and aims to help members:

  • Practice their presentation skills and get feedback in a non-threatening environment
  • Learn to handle realistic business situations, from chairing a meeting to pitching ideas
  • Express themselves clearly and confidently where English is not a first language.

Guests are welcome to attend up to three meetings before deciding whether they would like to join the club.
