Be Inspired Lecture: Off the ‘Sticky Floor’ | 23rd Jan

Looking for a little inspiration to kick start 2018? The Eleanor Glanville Centre is holding first Be Inspired! Lecture of the year.

Off the ‘Sticky Floor’ – Make Room for yourself!
7 Learnings that bring ‘Experience to Life’
Presented by Ruchi Aggarwal from the Lincoln International Business School

Ruchi Aggarwal

There is much to learn and get inspired by in our journey of our careers – for whatever we choose to do. This talk, the first in the series, by a woman leader, will focus on her experiences with that journey and will offer 7 practical learnings that we can consider, towards the outcomes we want to achieve. Women have made great advances in leadership roles over the past decade; however, there are still many challenges to be faced and overcome. While we are all too familiar with the metaphor of a glass ceiling that puts the onus on others, the ‘sticky floor’ puts the ball straight back in our court. The talk will offer seven practical learnings that will give you some inspiration of the power that lies in our own hands, to create our own success.

Ruchi has worked with diverse industry sectors – Sports @ Scottish Rugby at Edinburgh; Telecom @ Vodafone in India; IT @ Microsoft, in India – before joining the Higher Education sector with us at the University of Lincoln in September 2016. She currently is the Director for Business Development at the Lincoln International Business School and is keenly involved in our strategy of expanding into India.

The lecture takes place at 5.15pm on Tuesday 23rd January in the Co-Op Lecture Theatre, Minerva Building, and will be followed by a wine reception.

This lecture is free to attend but prior booking is essential. Please book your place online: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/be-inspired-lecture-ruchi-aggarwal-tickets-41830177186
